New Microsoft Surface RT tablet will run on chips Snapdragon 800

Microsoft Surface RTAccording to Bloomberg, Microsoft is working on a new generation of its Internet Tablet Surface RT, which should hit the market this fall.

According to insiders, the updated Surface RT should work on the basis of announced yesterday Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 800. These chips are positioned as premium products for smartphones and tablets, scheduled for release in late 2013 – early 2014.

Bloomberg also reported that a few days ago Microsoft and Qualcomm entered into a broad partnership agreement on cooperation in the field of mobile. Recall that in the current version of the tablet Surface RT used Nvidia Tegra 3 chips.

It is known that 800 Snapdragon processors will include cherytehyaderny CPU, known as Krait 400, clocked at 2.3 GHz and based at the 28-nanometer process. In addition, the chips will have Adreno 330 graphics processor, having an integrated LTE-modem that transmits data at up to 150 Mbit / s and supports standard WiFi 802.11ac.
